Influence of Ion Doping on Electromagnetic Property of W-type Ba-Ferrite

Effects on the electromagnetic parameters of hexagonal W type ferrite Ba(Zn1-x Cox) 2 Fe16 O27 doped with Co2+ions were researched.Products with different doping contents were prepared by the method of sol-gel self-combustion.The dynamic electromagnetic parameters at the frequency of 8.2GHz,10.0GHz and 12.4GHz of each product were measured and analyzed by the microwave vector network analyzer.The dielectric loss is due to the electric dipole polarization and interfacial polarization brought by the increase of doping content.The magnetic loss is caused by that as the doping content increases,the crystalline anisotropic preferable direction of W type ferrite changes from uniaxiality to plane,and the changes of crystalline anisotropic field cause the changes of the resonance frequency of the ferrite.Thus it is proved that the working frequency range of W type ferrite can be controlled by adjusting the doping content.In X wave band,Ba(Znx Co2-x) 2 Fe16 O27 possessed of a optimal microwave absorbing capability when x was equal to 0.6~0.8.
