摘要
Objective To assess the visual quality outcomes of monofocal versus multifocal intraocular lens(IOS) implantation in high myopia patients. Methods This was a non-randomized controlled study.Eighty-seven patients(108 eyes) diagnosed with high myopia cataract(axial length ≥26 mm) were recruited in the study from January 2010 to July 2011.Forty-five were males(57 eyes) and 40 were females(51 eyes).Average age was 68.44 + 5.27.Spherical refractory error ranged from-5.25 D to-10.25 D,with an average of-6.25 ±-0.25 D;cylindrical error ranged from 1.25 D to 2.00 D,with an average of-1.25 ±-0.25 D.Monofocal foldable lenses(Alcon SN60AT) were implaned in 52 patients and multifocal foldable lenses(Alcon SN6AD1) were implanted in 56 patients.Uncorrected distance and near visual acuity(UCVA),best corrected visual acuity(BCVA),astigmatism, corneal topography, contrast sensitivity and questionnaire of daily life quality were obtained at 1 and 3 months after the surgery. Results Postoperative uncorrected visual acuity was significantly different between the two groups at 1 month(P 0.05);but no significant differences in BCVA,corneal topography,or contrast sensitivity were found. At 3 months after the surgery, far and near visual acuity, degree of astigmatism, contrast sensitivity, and daily life quality were significantly improved in patients implanted with multifocal IOS(P 0.05).Conclusion Compared with monofocal lenses, multifocal IOL provides faster recovery, better near vision, higher percentage of spectacle independence and satisfactory visual function.
