This paper designed multiple 1D/3D, 2D/3D models for numerical simulation, we analyzed the response differences inspired by three-dimensional model and corresponding two-dimensional model, as well as their inversion results. Experiments and research results show that: the two dimension feature requirements of TM polarization mode is far lower than TE polarization mode; Through the study of the numerical simulation of multiple models, we found that model of three-dimensional features enhanced gradually in the process of the abnormal body shorten along the strike length. The inversion results of using TM polarization mode remain unchanged, while the inversion results of TE polarization mode produce distortion gradually. Company inversion effect of TE/TM polarization mode is usually between the former two, sometimes is better than TM polarization mode inversion results. So we get comprehensive conclusion: according to the general geological situation, using the 2D inversion results of TM polarization mode can often be better reconstruction of the original model. Under the condition of overall electrical structure inversion results between TE/TM company inversion and TM polarization inversion are similar, sometimes the inversion result of TE/TM company inversion may be superior to result of TM polarization mode. The inversion results of TE polarization mode are usually prone to distortion.
