Numerical and experimental investigation on water vapor condensation in turbulent flue gas

•A novel condensation model was proposed for CFD simulations.•Validation was implemented by laboratory scale experiments.•Numerical results were in good agreement with experimental measurements.•Higher accuracy compared previous condensation models was obtained.•Effects of Stefan flow can be ignored when water vapor volume fraction below 16%.
