A 2-arylaminopyrimidine derivative (analog of imatinib mesylate) was synthesized and included into multilayer polyelectrolyte microcapsules prepared by alternate adsorption of protamine sulfate and pectin-Ag nanocomposite. It was found that the efficiency of substance encapsulation from its aqueous solution (4 mg/mL) was about 70% and reached up to 28 wt.%. The kinetics of substance release significantly depends on pH and ionic strength of the medium. Maximum prolonged release of imatinib analog was observed in alkaline solutions. In vitro experiments on suspension cultures of hemoblasts showed increased antitumor activity (with IC 50 value decreased 1.4 – 2.2 times) of the encapsulated form of 2-arylaminopyrimidine derivative.
