Abstract
The corona-stabilized switch is the least developed plasma closing switches that has excellent PRF (pulse repetition frequency) capability. However, the theory that the corona plasma activity is used to improve the PRF property is still not well-documented. in this paper, fundamental principles of dielectric breakdown and insulation recovery in the corona-stabilized switch are studied through experimental method and theoretical analysis.
