Meta-Analysis Study On The Effectiveness Of Drug Addictiontreatment And Rehabilitation In Malaysia

Several Numbers Of Studies Have Been Funded To Further Enhance And Diversify The Treatment, Rehabilitation And Prevention Modalities To The Drug Addiction Issues As Well The Staff Training. However, There Has Been No Single Mechanism To Measure The Effectiveness Of Those Programs For Future Adjustment And Management For The Institution To Go About. Therefore, This Research Is Aimed To Measure The Effectiveness Of The Past Researches On The Rehabilitation And Prevention Of Drug Addiction Through The Meta-Analysis Study. A Total Of 16 Researches Has Been Stratified Based On The Categorization Of Approaches Be It Religious, Therapeutic Community (Tc), One-Stop Center And Innovation Method Have Been Sampled And Analyzed Through The Stata Software. The Data Were Classified Into Two Types Of Analyses, Namely Continuous Analysis And Binary Analysis. The Level Of Treatment Effectiveness For Each Study Was Measured By Its Effect Size Estimation (Es) By Using Cohen’s D For Continuous Analysis And Rr Value For Binary Analysis. Binary Analysis As A Whole Showed A High Heterogeneous Level Data, While Continuous Analysis Was Found To Be Homogeneous. Overall Results Concluded That This Quantitative Study Showed A Significant Impact Of Existing Drug Addiction Rehabilitation And Treatment Programs That Have Been Implemented Through The Researches.
