Abstract
Before the Fukushima-Daiichi NPP accident, around 50 nuclear power plants were operating to generate around 20% of Electricity consumption. It is now only 9 NPPs in operation and 24 NPPs in decommissioning stage. The decommissioning activities for these decommissioning NPP may take times and costs. However, if the low-level radioactive waste disposal site had been found, and Nuclear Regulatory Authority became professional, the decommissioning will be safely carried out within 10 years. The decommissioning technology had already been well established. While, Fukushima-Daiichi NPP decommissioning needs lots of Research and Development. New and advanced technologies have to be developed for safety decommissioning. The differences between Accident Reactor and Normal Reactor are too huge, ex., Moon shot and Moon watch.
