Vidas resgatadas: vulnerabilidade e pobreza nas vítimas do trabalho escravo no brasil

This research aims to map common characteristics of workers who are victims of contemporary slavery in Brazil, and, in particular, exposes unacceptable labor management practices. To this end, it considers grouping by regions, age groups, educational level, and other categories, which allows us to create a scenario for future political, economic, and cultural approaches. The data analyzed was obtained through documentary research at the Digital Slave Labor Observatory, at the Secretariat of Labor Inspection, and from NGOs such as Instituto Pacto Nacional pela Erradicacao do Trabalho Escravo (InPACTO) and Reporter Brasil. The results indicate that certain characteristics, such as the physical strength needed to face exhaustive working hours, geographical factors and, above all, the economic and social vulnerability of the worker, facilitate his or her enticement.
