Abstract
The social isolation resulting from facing the contagion of the new Coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2) has generated many transformations in the work and teaching processes. This study investigates the experiences of Accounting students with remote education implemented by a federal higher education institution in the Brazilian midwest region during the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic and its effects on their interest and satisfaction with the classes. The sample corresponds to 102 students who answered the questionnaire with closed and open questions, which made it possible to apply the Structural Equations and content analysis for data treatment. The results showed that it is necessary for teachers to seek different teaching methodologies and different information and communication technologies to reproduce a classroom in a virtual learning environment, so that the student has greater interest and satisfaction. Furthermore, it was identified that most students were unaware of the dynamics of the remote teaching modality, numerous doubts and fears became prominent, which reflected in the students' experiences with the interactions between teacher-student and student-student, the which significantly interfere in the learning process, and therefore, in the interest and satisfaction of the student.
