The origin traceability of geographical indication rice has always been highly concerned. From the perspective of non-equilibrium samples, this paper investigated the feasibility of electrochemical fingerprint produced by interaction between rice and Belousov-Zhabotinski (B-Z) oscillation system for identification of the geographical origin of rice firstly. Electrochemical fingerprints with abundant information and remarkable characteristics were achieved under the optimum conditions of blank oscillation reaction and reaction after introduction of rice. The recognition accuracy of the model established by support vector machine (SVM) reached 80%. The electrochemical fingerprints of non-equilibrium samples that measured by real-time tracking of the reaction process can not only reflect the difference of the composition and content of the sample, but also show the difference of chemical properties of the component, which provides a new idea for simple and accurate identification of food.
