Design of A Wideband Dual-Polarized Antenna with High Isolation in Cavity Filled with Dielectric

A wideband dual-polarized antenna with high isolation operating at L- and S-band is presented. Numerical simulations demonstrate that the antenna has dual polarization operation range from 1.60 to 2.69 GHz with a relative bandwidth of 50.8%. The port isolation is above 40 dB within the working band and the cross-polarization level is lower than -30 dB in the dominating radiation direction. The antenna gain rises from 6.86 to 9.83 dB as the frequency increases from 1.6 to 2.6 GHz.
