Currently, the educational community, as society evolves at a dizzying pace, the process oftransformation to the teaching-learning models at each of its levels is mandatory. One of thesechanges is aimed at the role of the tutor integrated into the educational teaching process as a whole,conceptualizing the thesis as a product of research. But it, in its conceptual and procedural form, musthave sufficient flexibility for integrating this process in a holistic way and at the same time bringingtogether all the factors that affect the graduate, if one takes into account that the current universityrests on the three mainstays: teaching-research-professional practice. Accordingly, the objective ofthis article is aimed at making a sufficiently updated analysis of something not completely resolvedregarding the changes we have mentioned. The work took as a practical reference, the application ofa survey directed to graduates or tutors from six public and private universities in Lima, which yieldedinteresting results that, reinforced by advanced theoretical concepts, give it great practical value,although without trying to offer formulas or provide definitive answers to these complex changingprocesses that compromise the tutor and the tutor.
