Elementos de calidad educativa desde la perspectiva de estudiantes en Biología, orientación en Ciencias ambientales

espanolEl estudio “Elementos de calidad educativa desde la perspectiva de estudiantes en Biologia, orientacion en Ciencias ambientales”, tuvo como proposito conocer la opinion de estudiantes de septimo y octavo semestre sobre algunos aspectos de la calidad educativa de la carrera que cursan, con la intencion de mejorar el proceso formativo de los futuros alumnos, fortaleciendo los aspectos mejor valorados por los mismos. Se realizaron cuestionarios individuales y entrevistas grupales, el analisis de contenido de las respuestas, permitio generar tres unidades de significado: Plan de estudios; Competencias docentes; Administracion y Gestion Institucional. Los resultados muestran, como aspectos positivos de la calidad educativa: el tiempo que los profesores dedican para abordar los contenidos, el dominio disciplinar y pedagogico de los mismos, la valorizacion institucional de la carrera, y el trabajo de tutorias. Se concluye que, para el estudiantado, los principales indicadores de calidad educativa son, en orden de importancia: la formacion de sus profesores, la actualizacion didactica y la interaccion entre Profesor-Estudiante, sobre todo en el interes que el primero demuestra en la formacion del alumnado. Es importante tener en cuenta la necesidad de analizar el proceso formativo con mayor complejidad. EnglishThe study “ Elements of educational quality from the perspective of students in Biology, environmental science orientation”, was intended to know the opinion of students of the seventh and eighth semester about some aspects of the educational quality of the career they are studying, to improve the training process of future students, strengthening the aspects that are most valued by them. Individual questionnaires and group interviews were conducted, the analysis of the content of the answers allowed the generation of three units of meaning: Curriculum; Teaching skills; Administration, and Institutional Management. The results show, as positive aspects of educational quality: the time that the teachers dedicate to approach the contents, the discipline and pedagogical domain of them, the institutional valorization of the career, and the work of tutoring. It is concluded that, for the student, the main indicators of educational quality are, in order of importance: the formation of their teachers, the didactic update, and the interaction between teacher and student, especially in the interest that the first one shows in the formation of the students. It is important to consider the need to analyze the process with greater complexity.
