Application of Variable Frequency Drive in Lifting System of Ropeway

With the development of variable frequency speed regulation technology, variable frequency drive have been widely used in ropeway lifting systems. According to the working characteristics of the funicular, this paper introduces the composition of the cableway hoisting system, the principle and implementation of the variable frequency speed regulating system. In the paper the control method of frequency converter ac speed regulation is put forward and the key technical issues of speed regulation control are analyzed. Because of application of frequency converter, the control line of the ropeway is simplified, the system operation fault is reduced, the system maintenance task is lightened, the impact on the power grid is avoided, and the safe and stable operation of the ropeway system is better realized.
