Experimental determination of the critical parameters for trans-1-chloro-3,3,3-trifluoroprop-1-ene [R1233zd(E)] and cis-1-chloro-2,3,3,3-tetrafluoroprop-1-ene [R1224yd(Z)]

•The critical parameters of R1233zd(E) and R1224yd(Z) were successfully measured.•The critical parameters of R1224yd(Z) are 428.82 K, 540.8 kg m−3, 3327 kPa.•The critical parameters of R1233zd(E) are 438.86 K, 486.7 kg m−3, 3558 kPa.•The critical parameters of R1233zd(E) were adopted in the development of a new equation of state.
