Abstract
The paper studies state feedback control design for the laboratory magnetic levitation system (MLS) with two coils from InTeCo [1]. Pole-placement and LQ based PI controllers are designed and compared for both SISO and MISO configurations. Controllers designed for the linearized MLS model are verified on the nonlinear simulation model and by experiments in the real plant.
