Abstract
The virtual simulation experimental teaching project of lathes and gear hobbing machines based on transmission analysis conforms to the development trend of education informatization, and simultaneously fulfills the requirements of the syllabus for teaching content and teaching objectives. The transmission system of lathes and gear bobbing machines was taken as a core to construct a virtual simulation experimental teaching project that truly meets the teaching demand of colleges and universities, cultivate students' ability to grasp and apply knowledge. In addition, technologies such as virtual reality, multimedia, human-computer interaction, database and network communication were applied to build a highly simulated virtual experimental environment and objects, help students observe machines’ parts and structures from many perspectives, which cannot be done in actual experiments, and heighten students' knowledge acquisition space from a two-dimensional level to a three-dimensional one, thus greatly enhancing their learning interests and teaching effects.
