A new Iso-type black phosphorus hetero-structure consisting of ultrathin exfoliated black phosphorus (EBP) and lower-work-function amine-functionalized EBP is designed to remarkably boost the inherent catalytic activity of BP for the oxygen reduction reaction via combined intramolecular/homointerfacial electron transfer (IET/HET).
