The “stay at home” declared as a preventive measure, introduced in Pakistan in March, when the corona virus (COVID-19) pandemic starts in Pakistan, it increased the social restrictions as well as emerge as an era of digitalization. The novel corona virus also referred to as COVID-19 was identified in Wuhan city, situated in Hubei province of China in December 2019.After a short period of time, it spreads out throughout the globe and severely affected the economies of the countries as a result of the lockdowns and social distancing laws. This research defines the effects of digitalization towards consumer industry in Pakistan .Now digital channels are used for brick-and-mortar sales rather than traditional ones. Now firms are taking advantage of COVID-19 pandemic outbreak. The digitalization is playing a major role in creating new business opportunities in the post COVID situation. Before COVID-19, the online shopping was an example of innovation. The “stay at home” practices opened up a new window of opportunity for the businesses. E-commerce is a part of digitalization which increases the wealth of a firm in a long term development process.
