The purpose of this study on the teaching of scientific research methodology in regular basic education in the Callao Region was to analyze and describe the relevance of the proper management of this research subject in students, as well as the different didactic strategies of this research subject scientific field that is currently applied at the higher level, but which are essential at any educational level or modality. The research was directed to the revaluation of research hotbeds as pertinent spaces for the promotion of a research culture in high education students in the national context. Likewise, a case study was used and an important and representative school of the Callao Region was taken as a model, where an innovative curricular proposal is developed as a subject of Scientific Research Methodology (SRM) in the fourth and fifth grades of high school, independent from the area of Science and Technology, with a medium-term purpose of training young researchers who are knowledgeable about theoretical, methodological, and epistemological aspects of research. The study concluded that the teaching of research in high school students is essential in the integral formation and in the development of learning related to the search for information (heuristics), analysis and interpretation of relevant information (hermeneutics) for the development of innovative research proposals from regular basic education.
