Numerical Study of Transformer Breathing Based on VOF Model

In this paper, a method for analyzing the breathing state of transformers based on VOF model is proposed. Then, the influence of load factor and ambient temperature on transformer breathing can be obtained. This study is helpful for better understanding the dynamic characteristics of transformer breathing and instructs manufacturers and operation companies to complete the good match between the transformer and the conservator.
