Analysis and Research about Landing bounce influence factors based on QAR Data

The proportion is around 53% that hard landing events caused by landing bounce, so it is of great value to do the research about landing bounce. In this paper we selected six key parameters of jet aircraft which influenced landing process greatly. They are airspeed, vertical speed(abbreviated to IVV), Throttle lever Angle(abbreviated to TRA), control column position(abbreviated to CCP), Pitch Rate, Pitch Angle(abbreviated to PITCH). In order to correctly express the influence, we used IAS-Vref to replace airspeed. IAS is abbreviation of airspeed, Vref is reference of airspeed, the difference between IAS and Vref can indicates whether airspeed is in normal range. After the contrastive analysis among single sample flights A, B and C, we found that PITCH did nothing for landing bounce. Then, we combined CCP and Pitch Rate by Pearson correlation coefficient, because the correlation coefficient was greater than 0.80. Finally, we did further research utilized two sample groups about remaining four parameters, and reconfirmed that they were all the affecting factors of landing bounce. In addition to these, we did the Significant Difference calculation for two sample data groups. The result showed that the degree influence was sorted as CCP $\gt $ TRA $\gt $ IVV $\gt $ IAS-Vref. For pilots, CCP and TRA are the parameters the pilot can control directly.
