Garnet Films Fabricated by Metal Organic Decomposition Method on Glass Substrates and GD3GA5O12Substrates

Garnet films are very useful magnetic films for magnon devices as well as spin Seebeck devices. We fabricated Y 3 Fe 5 O 12 (YIG), (YBi R ) 3 (FeGa) 5 O 12 ( R = Dy, Eu, Gd) on Gd 3 Ga 5 O 12 (GGG) and glass substrates (Corning: Eagle-XG) by the Metal Organic Decomposition (MOD) method. Dy, Eu, and Gd were chosen to control magnetostriction of garnet films, respectively.
