External validation of four Pancreatic Fistula Risk Score models in the Deep South US: Do racial disparities affect pancreatic fistula prediction?

•Upon external validation, the Alternative Fistula Risk Score inadequately predicts CR-POPF amongst Black patients from a Deep South patient cohort.•The Sun Fistula Risk Score provided significantly better prediction of CR-POPF among Black patients compared to White patients.
