This paper compares the usage of frequency modulated-continuous wave (FMCW) and m-sequence modulation in a ground-penetrating radar scenario. The two radars share a common front-end operating in the 1 to 2 GHz band with a 0 dBm transmitter and a receiver with a noise floor of -60 dBm.
