Abstract
This paper provide a essence of past and present advancement on leaky wave antenna. From the twentieth century, the leaky wave antennas are most demanding research filed. A leaky wave antenna (LWA) used a guiding structure which enables the propagation of wave along the length of structure that radiate or “leaks” the wave continuously along the structure. LWA classification depends upon feed location and wave propagation. This paper also discusses the recent developments of LWAs along with structures.
