Abstract
In this work, by means of the quantum chemical calculations by the density functional theory method (B3LYP/SBKJC and B3LYP/3-21G *), the mechanism has been studied of formation of a tryptophan radical cation with the participation of a silver cation or with a charged silver cluster, resulting in the formation of a tryptophan radical cation. An analysis of the energy of elementary stages and the spatial and electronic structure of possible intermediates involved in described transformations has been carried out.
