A Precise Landing Method for Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Visual Apron and Its Application

In this method, we propose a method for precise landing and landing of drones on the visual apron, which can replace DJI’s (Dajiang-Innovations) fixed-point return and traditional visual positioning algorithms. We used contour detection algorithms for visual positioning. At the same time, we designed an apron pattern for visual positioning to enzure the accuracy and stability of the visual positioning. We wrote the drone control program to realize the drone automatically and accurately stop and land. Among them, the landing error of the UAV using this method is much smaller than that of DJI’s fixed-point return and the same type of traditional vision algorithms.
