Abstract
In this paper, parallel arc fault has been diagnosed for a grid-tied hybrid solar system using grid current signature analysis. For this, a PV-wind hybrid system has been developed in the software interface, and a parallel arc fault has been created. The grid current has been captured and assessed using Stock-well Transform-based Skewness value monitoring. Covariance and standard deviations have also been calculated from the statistical values, and depending on the characteristic nature of the statistical values, a technique has been proposed for the computation of parallel arc fault duration in a grid-tied solar system.
