Microseismic monitoring is used to real time monitor and analyze the events generated by the fracturing of the fractured rocks, compare the source parameters such as energy and stress drop of CO2 energization and hydraulic fracturing events, finding that the energy of the events generated by CO2 is weak with a low rock fracture pressure; and the comparison of the spatial distribution of the microseismic events shows that the shape of the CO2 fracture network is mainly affected by the fracturing parameters, such as pressure and injection rate. In this way, the source mechanism that how CO2 energization causes rock fractures is further found out.
