Abstract
Arginine, taurine, and choline are conditionally essential nutrients, and their dietary deficiency manifests as certain hepatic disorders. Arginine is an amino acid protein that aids in the detoxification and treatment of hepatic lesions. Taurine is a nonprotein amino acid that protects liver cells against oxidative stress and against various drugs. Choline is a water-soluble vitamin, and its deficiency is related to liver dysfunction. This review focuses on the scientific evidence that links arginine, taurine, and choline to the liver and liver diseases.
