Bir eğitim ve araştirma hastanesi'nde 65 yaş ve üzeri alt gastrointestinal sistem endoskopik bulgularin değerlendirilmesi

ÖZET Amaç: Bu çalışmada amaç, bir eğitim araştırma Hastanesi’nde 65 yaş ve üzeri alt gastrointestinal sistem endoskopik bulgularının retrospektif olarak incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Gereç ve Yöntem: Kesitsel tanımlayıcı nitelikte olan çalışma, İç Anadolu Bölgesinde Bir Üniversitenin Tıp Fakültesi Gastroenteroloji, İç Hastalıkları ve Genel Cerrahi bilim dallarına 01.01.2015 ile 02.05.2018 tarihleri arasında başvuran hastalar üzerinde yapıldı. Alt gastrointestinal sistem endoskopisi uygulanan hastaların tamamının (155 hasta) patoloji sonuçları retrospektif olarak incelendi. Bulgular: Çalışmada toplam 155 olgu değerlendirildi. Olguların 56’sını (%36.53) kadınlar, 99’unu (%63.87) erkekler oluşturdu. Hastaların biyopsi sonuçları içerisinde en sık 82 (%52.90) olguda adenomlar , en düşük 9 (%5.80) olguda kolit tespit edildi. Sonuçlar: Tüm dünyada ve ülkemizde yaşlı nüfus popülasyonu artmaktadır. Artan yaşlı popülasyonda ileri yaşla birlikte kolorektal kanser görülme sıklığıda artmaktadır. Yaşlı popülasyonda kolorektal kanser taramalarının düzenli bir şekilde yapılması ve bireylere bu konuda farkındalığı arttırıcı çalışmaların yapılması yararlı olacaktır. Anahtar Kelimeler: Yaşlı; Kolorektal Kanserler; kolonoskopi EVALUATION OF LOWER GASTROINTESTINAL SYSTEM ENDOSCOPIC FINDINGS AGED 65 YEARS AND OVER IN A TRAINING AND RESEARCH HOSPITAL ABSTRACT Objective: The purpose of this study was to retrospectively investigate the endoscopic findings of the gastrointestinal system at 65 years of age and above at an educational research hospital.Methods: The study, which is a cross-sectional descriptive study, was performed on the patients who applied to a University in Central Anatolia Region Faculty of Medicine between the dates of 01.01.2015 and 02.05.2018 for the branches of Gastroenterology, Internal Medicine and General Surgery. Pathologic results of all patients undergoing lower gastrointestinal endoscopy (155 patients) were retrospectively reviewed.Results: A total of 155 cases were evaluated in the study. Of the cases, 56 (36.53%) were women and 99 (63.87%) were men. Among the biopsy results of the patients, 82 (52.90%) were the most common adenomas and the lowest 9 (5.80%) were colitis.Conclusion: The population of the elderly population is increasing all over the world and in our country. In the aging population, the incidence of colorectal cancer increases with older age. It would be beneficial to carry out regular screening of colorectal cancer in the elderly population and to make individuals aware of this issue. Keywords: Elderly; Colorectal Cancer; Colonoscopy
