In this paper, the transient electromagnetic method (TEM) with a high-performance radiative source is used to 3D modelling of the deep small hidden dangers of the dam by using the time-domain vector finite element method. Results show that significant electrical anomaly can be found at the location of the tube leakage, which indicates this novel kind of TEM method has the potential to identify the small hidden dangers of the dam.
