Based on the uniform half space step-off TEM response, the response for arbitrary transmitting waveform is obtained by using time domain convolution. The full-domain apparent resistivity definition algorithm is then derived from the inverse function theorem. The effect of this algorithm is illustrated by synthetic examples for typical trapezoidal waveforms. The effect of trapezoidal turn-off time on the apparent resistivity is also discussed.
