Oman PDO Company proposed a new acquisition way named ultra-high productivity (UHP) technique and had achieved encouraging results after several field trials. After complete last joint field trial with BGP, PDO has put the full scale UHP technique into a reality. By introducing the field trials and the first industry implementation of UHP, this paper presents the basic principle and acquisition challenges of UHP, summarizes the technical solutions developed by BGP.
