Abstract
Objectives: Early pregnancy loss (EPL) is a common early pregnancy complication but access to EPL treatment services is highly variable with potential for significant treatment delays and often don't address the emotional burden of EPL. Manual vacuum aspiration (MVA) is a safe management option for EPL. To provide rapid patient-centred access to MVA, an Outpatient Program for Early Pregnancy Loss (“OPEL”) was established in November 2015. The study objectives were: (1) Assess complication rates and (2) Assess patient satisfaction with OPEL.
