Pest management in organic rice: Latin America and the Caribbean.

Abstract This chapter focuses on organic rice pest management options for Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC). Information on biological control agents, cultural practices, resistant cultivars and other non-chemical means of pest control are discussed. General principles and practical methods of integrated pest management (IPM) for organic rice production systems in LAC are also presented, focusing on arthropod management.
