(2) Applying AGC (Automatic gain control) model in seismic process. Energy Shadow can cause misleading when we use seismic amplitude property to evaluate reservoir. This will affect well-drilling design as a consequence. In this paper, we discussed the causes, the effect area and strength of “energy shadow”. Finally we introduced a method to compensate the effect of “energy shadow”. By applying this method to a real seismic data from X oil field in BoHai bay, we get a better reservoir characteristic result.
