ChemInform Abstract: Visible-Light-Induced Photocatalysis of 1,1,1-Trifluoro-2-iodoethane with Alkylalkenes and Silyl Enol Ethers.

The visible‐light‐induced photoredox reactions of alkylalkenes with trifluoroiodoethane involve a simultaneous introduction of a trifluoroethyl group and an iodine atom to both sides of the double bond of the alkenes, whereas the same reaction with aromatic silyl enol ethers leads to β‐trifluoromethyl ketones.
