Abstract
This study examines the mediating effect of self-concealment between gender role conflict (GRC) and depression and attitudes toward professional help-seeking in Korean boys. Results of structural equation modeling with data from 189 Korean high school boys demonstrated that the relationships between gender role conflict and depression and attitudes toward help-seeking are fully mediated by the tendency to conceal distressing information. Practical suggestions for interventions to Korean male adolescents based on the results are discussed. In addition, implications of these findings for future research are presented.
