Detection of Lymphoid and Myeloid Lineages in Infantile B Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia With Mixed Lineage Leukemia Rearrangement by Use of Flow Cytometry and Cytogenetics

Even with improvement in complete remission and long-term survival rates with current chemotherapy regimens, acute leukemia remains the second leading cause of death in children. It is therefore important to identify high-risk patients at the time of diagnosis and use sensitive methods to detect persistent or recurrent malignant cells following therapy.
