Abstract
A novel in situ one-step route has been proposed to synthesize /carbon-fiber (CF) composites. This route combines solid phase reaction and chemical vapor deposition using , , and as the precursors for growth and acetylene as a carbon source for the CF growth. The composites have been characterized by X-ray diffraction and transmission electron microscopy. The electrochemical properties of the composites have been evaluated by galvanostatic cycling and cyclic voltammetry.
