Development of the performance and durability evaluation technology is necessary to design a SOFC system and to understand behaviors of cell and stacks. So we, Central Research Institute of Electric Power Industry (CRIEPI), have operated several types of SOFCs in order to develop the performance equation which can represent cell performance by a simple measurement of cell voltage as a function of operation temperature and partial pressure of supplied gasses. As the result, it has been clarified that the behavior of cathode polarization under various conditions is described by dependence of PO2^(-0.5), and the behavior of anode is different according to each type of SOFCs.
