Recent Progress in the Development of Quantum Dot Light Emitting Diodes

Light emitting diodes (LEDs) with colloidal grown quantum dot active layers may serve as a solution to the efficiency gap in the deep green LED emission spectrum. CdSe quantum dots can be tuned for emission across the visible spectrum including the deep green. This work focuses on integrating a CdSe active layer into a GaN LED.
