Abstract
The thermoelectric and galvanomagnetic properties were investigated in n-type Bi/sub 2/Te/sub 3-x/Se/sub x/ (0.12/spl les/x/spl les/0.36) solid solution in the temperature range 80-300 K. A correlation between figure of merit Z and parameters of the many-valley model is found with account of the anisotropy scattering approximation in Bi/sub 2/Te/sub 3-x/Se/sub x/ solid solution. It is shown that the decrease of anisotropy of the constant energy surface and anisotropy of the scattering process leads to increase of Z-value, especially in the low temperature range.
