•We highlight the FS-GZSL problem, and two data scarcity settings are proposed.•A novel framework MAML-CLA is proposed to address FS-GZSL by mimicking ZSL setting.•MAML-CLA outperforms state-of-the-art methods on popular datasets under two setting.
