摘要
This poem is dedicated to Nella (fictional name) who recently died at age 50 from a glioblastoma. During the last months of her life, she had frequent episodes of memory loss. One day she told me: "I'm used to observing my white orchids every morning in order to notice if any change in their aspect occurs. Doing so I'm able to orient myself and to know who I am and who my husband and my son are. Looking to my orchids brings me back my memories and I feel alive again." This poem is inspired by Nella's remedy. I dedicate it to all who experience episodes of memory loss due to medical conditions, with the hope they will find their own remedy.
