The fast-charging properties of micro lithium-ion batteries for smart devices

•It is the first time to systematically study the fast-charging properties of micro lithium-ion batteries under different temperatures.•This battery exhibits 4C fast-charging capabilities with less deterioration of material structure.•Raising temperature can shorten the fast-charging time to some extent but increase the side reactions.
