Public support for policies to improve population and planetary health: A population-based online experiment assessing impact of communicating evidence of multiple versus single benefits

•Providing evidence of policies effectiveness at achieving policy goals increases public support.•Uncertainty exists about the most effective ways of communicating this evidence.•Evidence about multiple policy benefits increases support more than evidence for a single benefit.•Effects are evident across behaviours and policies.
